John Denver - Eleanor Rigby (Spirit)

This song was first released on the Whose Garden Was This? album. It is the only album it has been released on.

Ah, look at all the lonely people!
Ah, look at all the lonely people!

Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church
Where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing a face
That she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?

All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

Father McKenzie, writing the words of a sermon
That no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working, darning his socks in the night
When there's nobody there, what does he care?

All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people!
Ah, look at all the lonely people!

Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried
Along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands
As he walks from the grave
No one was saved

All the lonely people, where do they all come from?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

Wow this is an amazing cover. My second favorite JD song after Starwood in Aspen. Seriously, someone should give you a record contract.

I thought..just another hack trying to be JD. very surprised!! what I liked was you did not try " to be " JD. Doing in your own style made it consistanly interesting. I would say though thatyour guitar playing could be better. Count, and use the correct rythym. Also brteath! Take nice full breaths, hold your guitar properly. CK. out guitarist as Ana Vidvic, John . Williams..You'll get the idea. You have a geat voice and you could be even better with some training. Keep it up I'll be listening!!

Mooi zuiver gezongen, het donkere efect dat je hebt gebruikt maakt het filmpje erg romantisch.

Wow Jerry. I haven't heard this one in many years. You brought the beauty of this song right back as if John was singing it again! Excellent my friend!! It's really nice with the extra guitar. ~George~
